Please note: First published in 2005, this website has evolved continuously for more than two decades as new observations, advances in plasma physics, and fresh perspectives on astronomy and cosmology have emerged. It should therefore be regarded as an ongoing research project rather than a finished work. Some articles have been substantially revised over the years, others are awaiting revision, and I continue to update the site as new evidence and ideas become available.

The aim has never been to defend a particular doctrine, but to examine whether the available evidence genuinely supports the prevailing cosmological model or points towards a different understanding of the Universe. As Richard Feynman observed, science advances by questioning accepted answers, not by protecting them from scrutiny.

Daniel Dennett

I am an independent researcher whose interest in cosmology grew out of a lifelong fascination with philosophy and science. Some readers regard the ideas presented on this website as controversial — even heretical — not necessarily because of a lack of evidence, but because of their wider implications.

My concerns with mainstream cosmology are relatively straightforward. I would simply like to see greater emphasis placed on empirical evidence, laboratory experiment and testable physical mechanisms. In my opinion, theoretical assumptions have too often come to dominate observation. Fortunately, I am far from alone in questioning that trend.

If you are curious to explore this emerging field further, the Links page provides an excellent place to begin. As stated throughout the site, these pages are intended as an introduction to an expanding area of research rather than the final word on any subject.

"The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd."
Bertrand Russell

I have written and narrated a number of videos for the Thunderbolts Project, including the popular Misconceptions series. See the final episode below:

In this video below, I examine the often dubious methods and assumptions of the debunking industry.
